An exhibition called Watchers and Holy Ones is being held at the University of Gloucestershire's chapel. The exhibition, by local artist Jake Lever, is inspired by hands belonging to angels, the magi and Christ.

University chaplain, the Rev Tamsin Merchant organised the exhibition.

She said: "If you want to have a go yourself, we provide the materials, some inspiration to get you started and the space to be quiet and make a prayer as a gift, a prayer, a blessing, as solidarity or as a protest."

The exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm at the University of Gloucestershire Chapel at Francis Close Hall Campus, Swindon Road, Cheltenham.

The work will be on display during the university's carol service at 6pm on Thursday.
